Overview

T&T is a platform for building games that are closely tied to NFTs. Its purpose is to treat the many projects in the world as worlds, to record their activities, and to further propagate the results.

NFTs are passes for accessing the game. They are recorded on the blockchain, which ensures sustainability and transparency. Activities are converted into in-game items, and those items in turn generate further activities in a chain reaction.

T&T provides an easy-to-use web application for operating smart contracts, so that users can step into the world of Web3 without compromising their experience.

Components of T&T

T&T consists mainly of the following components.

• API
• Relay Server
• Smart Contract
• Off-chain Backend

T&T StructureThrough the web application, users can view information about a world and record their activities. The web application is designed so that it can be used without being aware of the complex operations specific to Web3 (such as wallets), allowing users to enter a world seamlessly.

Project owners can easily build game worlds by using World Builder.

The API is implemented as a standard RESTful API and provides various functions for recording participants’ activities and for world owners to operate their worlds. Project owners can also operate this API, making it easy to integrate and customize systems and to support a wide range of use cases.

The smart contracts implement the NFTs that serve as proof of participation in a world, and provide functions for managing the smart contracts that exist for each world.

The relay server is implemented as a standard RESTful API and issues transactions on behalf of users. As a result, users do not need to be aware of gas fees.

The role of the off-chain backend is to monitor changes on the blockchain (events emitted by T&T’s smart contracts) and reflect them in the web application.

Through these mechanisms, T&T provides a user-friendly experience while ensuring the strong security and transparency of the blockchain.

Design Principles

T&T is not designed with so-called fully on-chain operation in mind. What T&T aims to achieve includes things that cannot be done without making use of off-chain mechanisms, so our technology choices basically prioritize using the right tool for the right job.

In addition, while T&T makes it possible to create excellent NFT projects at low cost by using the web application and World Builder, we also place importance on supporting more use cases by ensuring flexibility and extensibility through the API.

We expect that the lifespans of the projects and communities that use T&T will be longer than those of T&T’s centralized mechanisms. To maintain sustainability, we will likely introduce more decentralized mechanisms over the long term. We avoid designs that would significantly hinder this, and make decisions by balancing short-term and long-term perspectives.
